International Philanthropy Fellows Support Fund
The Johns Hopkins International Fellows in Philanthropy Support Fund
Dear Friend of the Johns Hopkins International Philanthropy Fellows Program,
For the past twenty years, the Johns Hopkins International Fellows in Philanthropy Program has provided opportunities for scholars and practitioners from around the world who are working in or on the nonprofit sector and philanthropy to spend a semester or an academic year at the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies researching topics that can be of use to the nonprofit sector of their countries. The Program then convenes past and incoming Fellows for an annual conference in a host country to examine the nonprofit sector in that country. Support for this program has come from a number of U.S. and international foundations. Among other things, this support has allowed us to offer a number of enrichment opportunities for Fellows in addition to covering their travel and living costs and our staff time in managing the program.
Over the past few years, external support for this Program has become harder to raise. The Center has nevertheless continued to offer opportunities for international experts in this field to study with us but has not been in a position to cover Fellows’ travel and living costs or to provide as many enrichment experiences.
During the 2009 Philanthropy Fellows conference in Milan, Italy, many Fellows indicated they would be willing to make contributions to the program to sustain the enrichment activities and possibly provide travel or stipend support for incoming Fellows to help ensure that the Program continues to attract promising participants from all parts of the world. This fund is the result of their generous offer.

All funds donated to this fund will be automatically deposited into a specially created gift account dedicated to support the Johns Hopkins Philanthropy Fellows Program and the activities of incoming Philanthropy Fellows.
